The magnetic release ensures the automatic release of the swing bolts in Winkhaus AV3 multi-point locking systems. The magnetic release is installed in the angled strike plate of the main lock case. Care should be taken to avoid steel reinforcements in the door frame, which could interfere with the magnet. When closing the door, the magnetic contact with the locking mechanism automatically releases and locks the swing bolts. The advantage of the magnet is that there are no grinding marks or grinding noises when closing the door, as is the case with mechanical releases.
